The Neighborhood Learning Center is looking for tutors, especially for our afternoon sessions. During the summer we meet from 10:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Thursday. In the fall, we will return to our school year schedule and will be open 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Food is flying off the shelves this summer as we help those in need. You can also help by donating non-perishable food items to the Food Pantry. We are especially in need of spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, muffin mixes, canned ravioli, Spaghettios, canned fruits and vegetables, beef stew, dry pasta, pancake mix and syrup Please place items in the bins designated for the Food Pantry. If it is more convenient, you may write a check and put “Food Pantry” in the memo section and we will purchase food with the proceeds.

Mark your calendars for July 3 when the Nations ministry will gather at Milwaukee’s lakefront for picnicking, games, and watching the spectacular fireworks display in the evening. We will be located on the east side of the lagoon: enter at Veteran’s Park and walk north. We will have a large tent and volleyball net set up. Grills will be available; please bring your own meat and beverages, as well as a side dish/dessert to share. Invite your international friends to celebrate the Independence Day and participate in traditional American Fourth of July activities.

Orchestra Camp is July 9-13; 9:00am to noon, for instrumentalists in grades 4-8 and Suzuki string students grades 2-8. All instruments in the orchestra, including strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and piano will be involved. There will be private lesson instruction and sectionals taught by the extremely gifted musicians that play with the Worship Orchestra, as well as fun events, snacks, and outdoor games.
