The mission of the Eastbrook School of Fine Arts is to help students develop their God-given artistic gifts. The school offers three semesters of classes with most being offered on campus. Class and private instruction vary in length according to the type of course.

Abbey Harkins-Piano
Abbey graduated from the University of Wisconsin Steven’s Point in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and an emphasis in piano. She has been playing piano since she was five years old and continues to grow in her love for the instrument even today! She wants to instill that same love for music and the piano in her students while making piano lessons FUN! She loves to see students grow in both their talent and understanding of music. Abbey accepts students at any level!

Private piano lessons
This class is designed to teach beginner through advanced students the artistry and technique of the piano. It is designed to give students an understanding of music theory and expand the student’s general musical ability and natural talent.

  • $20 per half hour lesson
  • Mon-Wed: 9:30am – 6:00pm

Lisa Kay Galloway – Piano, Guitar, Voice
Lisa Kay is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute with her degree in vocal performance. Her goal for her students is for them to enjoy worshiping God through music. “My hope for students,” she says, “is to learn healthy techniques through musical styles that they both relate to   and enjoy.”

Private Piano Lessons
Students will learn piano through the Alfred piano series. Course includes: basic theory, sight reading, and rhythm. Students may incorporate chord charts and improvisation into their lesson

  • $17 per 30min. lesson
  • $23 per 45min. lesson
  • $27 per hour lesson

Private Guitar Lessons
Students will learn how to read chord and tablature through worship music and student’s favorite songs. Students will learn strumming patterns, basic music theory, and fingering.

  • $27 per hour lesson

Private Voice Lessons
Students will learn a variety of music while learning healthy vocal techniques. This class covers techniques of breath support, performance etiquette, and vocal production.

Will Branch – Guitar, Drums
Will is experienced in both drums and guitar. He has been playing drums for twenty-one years and guitar for eleven years. He loves learning and teaching people to connect with God through music. His prayer is that people are able to make both a joyful noise and a good noise as they learn new skills in drums and guitar.

Andrew Griffis – Guitar
Born in New England, Andrew spent several years as a missionary kid in Cameroon West Africa. After graduating from Rain Forest International School he attended Taylor University in Indiana, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, with guitar as his primary instrument. Andrew started learning how to play guitar at the age of nine, studying specifically classical guitar from 8th grade through college. He has participated in leading worship since the age of 10 and currently plays on a team at Elmbrook church about once a month.

Lisa Johnston – Art, Writing
Lisa’s experience as an educator includes 7 years teaching 5th grade at Wilson Elementary in the Mequon-Thiensville School District, 4 years teaching Art at Eastbrook Academy, 13 years of private tutoring for 4th-12th grade students, 4 years of homeschooling her own kids, and more than 10 years of teaching/shepherding at various levels for Sunday School. Lisa and her husband have attended Eastbrook Church since the "Riverside Days,” and each of her three children are happy to call Eastbrook their "home away from home.” 

Art Class
These classes are geared toward middle and high school students.  Alternating each week between the two classes, students will improve their writing and artistic skills through homework assignments and in class practice. 

  • $11 per class
  • 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month. 9am-11am

Writing Class

  • $10 per class
  • 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from 9am-11am
