Georgine was born and raised in a loving home in the Milwaukee area.
She grew up Catholic, and came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 1987 under the teaching of Pastor Marc Erickson, Eastbrook's first Senior Pastor.
Georgine held the position of Pastor of Worship, Music & Arts at Eastbrook Church from 1989-2008, and currently is serving as Associate Pastor of Worship & Music, working primarily with the Worship Choir. She is committed to the choir's biblical role in leading powerful worship, and sees each member as a modern day Levite. Georgine realizes just how diverse the body of Christ at Eastbrook is, and is blessed to be able to incorporate musical style ranging from contemporary Christian to gospel to global worship songs from around the world.
Georgine has a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from UW-Milwaukee, and after graduation was a member of Milwaukee's Florentine Opera Chorus for 17 years and a freelance vocal artist at the Skylight Theatre (also in Milwaukee) for eight years. Simultaneously, she also maintained a private voice studio. Although Georgine is classically trained, what she loves most is gospel music.
Georgine is married to Dwayne Johnson. She has two grown sons from her first marriage to Edward Wenzler, who was called home to be with Jesus in November of 2008.
