Young Adults Ministry (Age 23-35)

Young Singles PictureThe Young Adults Ministry is dedicated to single Christians at Eastbrook who are 23-35 (or so) years of age. The group is geared to encourage and equip people to live a life that gives glory to God and draws others to His Gospel. Members collectively present a kaleidoscope of life experiences and views on the world, except one: their love for the Lord and belief in the saving blood of Christ. It is for this reason that the Young Adults Ministry organizes a variety of events ranging from rock climbing to retreats in order to enhance fellowship and, oh yeah, have fun!

As a part of the Body of Christ we know that each of us is a work in progress. Some of us are just about to take that first step, and others are well on their way. The Young Adults Ministry aims to meet you and gratefully accept your contribution right where you are today, just like God does. After that, we look for the Holy Spirit to help guide and grow us together. If you like how that sounds, contact either of the Young Adults Ministry Pastors, Nate Ganfield and Tawnya Ganfield, and they'll help you get started.

Young Adults Winter Ski Trip!

Who?  Young adults and any friends they want to bring.  There is enough space for about 20 people.

When?  Thursday, Feb. 16th-Sunday, Feb. 19th.  Most people will probably drive up Thursday night and leave Sunday around noon.  Some will likely drive up Friday after work as well if one can't get off of work.

What?  A time of fellowship, worship, and fun winter sport activities.  Ski Brule is mostly a place for downhill skiing and snowboarding, but they also offer cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow tubing.  Or you can just come for the fellowship if you like the comfort of the chalet.  If you don't know how to ski, this is a perfect opportunity to learn.

Why? Because it will be a lot of fun!

Where?  Ski Brule Ski Resort just past the Wisconsin border in the upper peninsula of Michigan (www.skibrule.com).  We'll be renting a chalet across the street from the ski hill.  The chalet has 2 identical halves, with each side having a living room area (with fireplace), full kitchen, dining area, 1.5 baths, 2 bedrooms and a loft with additional sleeping area.

What will it cost?  For lodging and food (which we'll cook and eat right in the chalet) figure on $120...though that could go as low as $90 depending on how many people we get to split the lodging.

Cost for some of the possible activities:

Downhill skiing/snowboarding lift tickets: $42 for one day or $70 for two days.  If you don't have you own skis or snowboard, you can rent the equipment from Ski Brule for $29/day or $52 for 2 days.

Snowshoeing: $5/day.  $15/day for equipment.

Cross Country Skiing: $10/day.  $18/day for equipment.

Snow Tubing: $5 for 5 runs.

Please go to www.Skibrule.com for more information or contact Nate () or Tawnya Ganfield () to sign up.  They need to know ASAP if you are able to come...so contact them quickly!!
