Worship Choir 2008-2009 Season
The mission of the Worship Choir is to follow Scriptural directives regarding the important of music in worship services. To that end, the Worship Choir sings in weekend worship services two times monthly from September through May. Choir members rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in room E229. The choir sings a variety of sacred music, including contemporary Christian, gospel, and classical. Childcare is provided in the Red Room.
The season's theme is "Come let us sing for joy to the Lord" from Psalm 95. Choir members will be studying, memorizing, and reciting the scripture at a weekend worship service in February 2009.

Children's and Youth Choirs
We believe at Eastbrook that God loves to hear His children sing His praises, and we have a graded choir program for that purpose. During the 3rd hour sermon on Sunday mornings, September through May, four children's choirs meet to learn God's word through song, learn about worship and experience friendship. Throughout the year, the children's choirs lead the whole congregation in worship, and also present a special program in the spring which includes a musical drama on a Bible story. Firstfruits Choir, for K4 and K5 children, meets in E126 (the orange room). Hosanna Choir, for 1st and 2nd graders, meets in E224. Alleluia Choir, for 3rd and 4th graders, meets in E228. Jubilate Choir, for 5th and 6th graders, meets in E229. Children's choirs begin again in the fall on Sunday, September 7.
Adonai Singers is a youth choir for 7th through 12 graders. The Adonai Singers rehearse every other Sunday September through May in Room E229 from 8 to 9:15 a.m. and lead worship three weekends each year in the main services. This choir will start up again on Sunday, September 7.

Worship Ministries Retreat
January 16 and 17, 2009 at the Eastbrook Campus
The retreat will be facilitated by Dave Williamson of Worship Leading Choirs International. Mr. Williamson addresses some of the challenges faced by worship choirs and uses biblically based teaching that offers spiritual encouragement and hope while also providing practical guidance. All choir members and worship leaders are asked to attend this weekend of building-up and spiritual growth.

2009 Night of Praise & Worship
The Worship Choir and Worship Orchestra will be presenting a selection of favorites from the season on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.
