Bread of Healing Free Clinic North

Bread of Healing Clinics provide cost-free primary medical care to uninsured adults (16 years +) in the Milwaukee Metro area. We are committed to achieving health, not necessarily eliminating sickness.

Our definition of “health” also involves the spiritual health of the patient, including salvation in Jesus Christ. The all-volunteer team approach provides the care of physician, nurse, educator, pharmacist, respiratory therapist, along with medications and lab services.

We are open the 3rd Saturday morning (9 a.m. to noon) of each month and the 2nd Monday evening (4 to 7 p.m.), and the Agape center is open each Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, please call the main office (414-977-0001) and ask for Rick or Erin, or contact Eastbrook Church (414-228-5220 x 107.)

Food Pantry

Eastbrook’s Food Pantry Ministry exists to serve both the church and the surrounding community by distributing free food to those who need it. This food is donated by church members, bought with money donated to the church and designated for the Food Pantry, and also obtained through a partnership that has been established with the Hunger Task Force www.hungertaskforce.org of Milwaukee.

Distributions of food are made every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. from the ARC building. Those wishing to volunteer to serve in this ministry should have a cheerful spirit and a strong back. Heavy bags of groceries need to be carried up a flight of stairs from the storage room in the basement of the ARC building. This ministry is great way to provide both a practical help to people, as well as a way to have contacts with people from outside the church which can lead to opportunities to have a spiritual impact on their lives

The Care Board

The Care Board serves the congregation and members of the community by making available a bulletin board that shares information on jobs, housing, automobiles, and other needs. The board is located in the lobby and the forms for listing notices are located at the nearby Information Desk. Forms may be filled out and left at this desk, to be posted by office staff. No commercial advertising or sales aree allowed. Needs only.

Living Waters

Living Waters is a relational and sexual wholeness program to which people come for inner healing of broken relationships. Learning to forgive those who have hurt us, to forgive ourselves and to repent of sins that have overcome us is covered in this ministry.

This ministry provides a safe environment to work out areas of brokenness that we often fear letting be known. Forgiveness, repentance, prayer and the Cross are central. Men and women learn about God’s design for complimentarity in whole relationships. Small groups give opportunity for healing prayer to take place in the participant’s lives. This ministry has helped countless individuals regain renewed relationships and a new sense of joy and freedom.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program designed to help those struggling with hurts, hang-ups and habits. It is a safe place that incorporates a 12-step recovery process, in addition to 8 recovery principles that are based on the Beatitudes.

When participants work this program, they are able to break free from destructive patterns that have hindered a strong relationship with God and others.

Celebrate Recovery is for anyone with a hurt, hang-up or habit such as those dealing with drug and alcohol addiction, anger issues, codependency issues, sexual addiction, eating disorders, gambling and a whole host of other issues. Meetings are held every Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in room E224 at Eastbrook Church.

Marriage Preparation Class

Any couple desiring to be married by a pastor at Eastbrook Church is required to go through our 10-week marriage preparation class. Classes are offered every spring and fall and use Dennis Rainey’s “Preparing For Marriage” as the main resource. Time is given to both large group teaching and couple-to-couple mentoring as we work through the book. Any couple that is engaged or dating seriously is encouraged to go through the class.

Counseling Resources

Eastbrook Church offer three different options for a variety of counseling needs. Pastoral counseling is available on the Eastbrook campus to help with marriage concerns, depression, grief and/or other life matters. We also have a team of lay counselors (Shepherds Ministry) that have received training and have shown gifting and competency in helping others. Finally, we have a referral list of trusted professional Christian counselors who work in the Milwaukee area.
