8:30 - 10:45 Sunday Mornings
Coordinator: Sherry Olson-Ngui Phone: 228-5220 ext 244 e-mail: sngui@eastbrook.org
On Sundays, Jubilation Station Time begins with project time at 8:30 when kids gather in a large group. At 9:30 the 3rd and 4th graders are in shepherding groups where they work on a unit of study for 6-10 weeks. They may play a purposeful game, act in a drama, cook a Bible food, design a biblical costume, put together a newspaper of a biblical event, or any number of other hands-on activities. They will also pray together as well as read and discuss scripture. Some of the units of study are: Moses, the Tabernacle, Jesus and Friends, Esther, Paul and company. The faith-marker event for this age group is a unit on having a personal devotional time.
Route 34 Events
During the year several Route 34 events are planned. They include events such as a heavenly party in fall, a games night, and a spring-fest. If your child is registered in Sunday School or attends regularly they will receive information as these events near.
March Camping Retreat
For Eastbrook Kids only!
In March we take our 3rd -6th graders on an overnight camping retreat at the YMCA’s Camp Minikani in Hubertus. During this 24 hour experience the kids are encouraged to grow closer to God and to deepen their friendships with one another. We have three times of worship, three times of devotions, skits and silly songs, games and crafts and a nice long hike. We wear out the kids, but we feed them as well. Expect to bring them home and put them to bed! Cost is about $40 per child (scholarships are available on a needs basis). Please mark your calendars and plan to send your child. We do appreciate that some children may not be ready to stay overnight. They are certainly invited to attend for just the day.
